The Bollandists are an association of scholars who have studied hagiography and the cult of the saints since the early seventeenth century. They publish the Acta Sanctorum, an encyclopedic critical edition of the lives of saints. Also, they publish the Analecta Bollandiana, a journal on critical hagiography, twice a year. On their website, they link to their electronic publications/databases: BHGms (Bibliotheca Hagiographica Graeca manuscripta), the Acta Sanctorum database and the BHGms (Bibliotheca Hagiographica Graeca manuscripta). They also provide a list of useful links and have a newsletter.

ARC Humanities Hagiography Bibliography
The website of the academic-led ARC Humanities Press provides useful bibliographies on medieval history. While the bibliography “Hagiography” is currently not available, there are several other extensive bibliographies on themes which are related to hagiography like “Theology and Spirituality”, “Medieval Liturgy”, “Sermons and Homilies” etc. The bibliographies are up-to-date (2020). Additionally, the ARC has a blog, twitter and Facebook page where their new publications are discussed.
Peregrinations
Peregrinations. Journal of Medieval Art & Architecture is a journal focusing on the art and architecture of the Middle Ages. The journal was founded in 2002, is published periodically and is especially concerned with medieval visual culture. Many articles explore the works of art created for the cults of saints who were venerated in various regional centers. Conveniently, the journal is open-access and available online.

Arbeitskreis für hagiographische Fragen
The Arbeitskreis für hagiographische Fragen was founded in 1994 and since then has been dedicated to interdisciplinary and international exchange on hagiographic research. While the focus of the working group lies on hagiographic texts and hagiographic discourse, it also deals with questions of religiosity, piety and sacredness. The website of the working group provides information on current events and programmes, reports and information on the publication of past conferences.
Hagiografía Hispánica
This is the virtual library Miguel de Cervantes. They have a section on Spanish hagiography and include free access to sources, editions, bibliographies and research and also offer a collection of interesting links. Additionally, all the catalogues can be searched. They also provide access to two other catalogues: The Hagiografia castellana and the Hagiografia catalana. The catalogues follow the same structure as the Spanish hagiography catalogue. They are also active on various social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube (links below).
Franciscan Authors (13th -18th century)
A continually growing catalogue listing Franciscan authors who lived between the 13th and 18th century. In addition to biographical information on the life and work of the respective authors, the entries comprise information on manuscripts and editions of the author’s works as well as literature on the author and/or their works. The site is structured rather conveniently: you will be able to either research a particular author by the help of an alphabetical list or to browse via the categories “Vitae Miracula” and “Order Provinces”. Moreover, the authors of the website, namely Bert Roest and Maarten van der Heijden, also provide a small compilation of virtual publications and bibliographies on medieval and Franciscan preaching, medieval exegesis, Franciscan historiography and Franciscan travel and missionary works, all of which were last updated between 2017 and 2019. Additionally, the site lists a wide range of handy research resources, which are arranged bibliographically and can therefore be easily accessed for your own advanced research.

Hagiography Society
The Hagiography Society was founded in 1990 and is the largest Anglo-American network for all historical research on saints and sanctity. The society aims to establish worldwide networking and communication. Its main focus lies on the medieval era, but does also welcome researchers from all eras and disciplines. Additionally, the websites provides information about the society’s own award, the “The Hagiography Society Book Prize” which they have been awarding annually since 2017; their own book series called “Sanctity in Global Perspective” and plans for the major medieval conferences in the United States and Great Britain (Kalamazoo, Leeds). The website has a useful online bibliography (currently unavailable) and a small selection of links (not annotated). The website also has a members only area, which includes a newsletter, additional accesses and other perks.
Viking Society Web Publications
The Viking Society for Northern Research makes all their publications since 1983 available online for free! They offer their excellent research for everyone to read: Facsimiles, primary sources, research articles and their annual journal, the Saga-Book, on medieval Scandinavian and Northern Research, including research on saints from that region.

AISSCA: Associazione Italiana per lo Studio della Santità dei Culti e dell’Agiografia
This is the website of the Italian Association for the study of sanctity, cults and hagiography. They share information on their organisation, their members as well as upcoming events they are holding. Moreover, the section „Biblioteca agiografica“ continuously presents the latest publications from the hagiographic research field by recommendation of the society’s members. Also, they give information on their own publication series Sanctorum. Although the website is in Italian, some passages are also in English. They also link to their Youtube channel.
Associazione Italiana San Rocco Di Montpellier
On this site, the Italian Association Saint Roch of Montpellier and the International Centre for Studies on Saint Roch compile information related to Saint Roch both in Roman languages and in English. The section „AGIOGRAFIE“ provides a list of biographical material on the saint from different authors oof the 15th century. Furthermore, the site gives access to transcriptions of its listed sources. While those transcriptions follow the language of the original text, the basic information about the sources themselves are given in some Roman languages and in English.
